Don Johnson

Founder of Books for Pastors

With a passion for helping pastors be more effective and a gift of encouragement, Don Johnson seeks to answer the Lord’s call to teach and minister to his fellow servants around the world, and especially in Latin America. Don is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, West Virginia, USA, with a B.A. degree in Pastoral Ministry and a Th.B. in Missions. He has a great interest in the areas of theology, and wants to use his gift of teaching to open the truth of God’s Word to “faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Don has served in different local churches for many years in lay leadership roles and recently held a two year position as interim worship pastor in Faith Baptist Church, Beckley, WV. He uses his gifts and talents of music and encouragement to inspire people to draw closer to God and to worship the Creator of the universe. Don has been married for over 30 years to the joy of his life, Debbie, and they have four grown children.

Daniel Bardales

Daniel and Evi Bardales both were raised in Christian homes, having been saved while still young children. As they grew in their faith, they served in several ministries. Daniel served as Director of Operations for Dan Moran Ministries along with Evi before they got married. They both served through translating and coordinating logistics for missionary groups traveling to Honduras from Alabama, US. After they were married, they both studied at Word of Life Argentina for three years, and then Daniel served as Lead Pastor with Iglesia Bautista Renacer (Born Again Baptist Church) in Honduras. God used Daniel and Evi at this church to launch several new ministries, including one called “Honoring Santiago and Damariz (HSD) School” for underprivileged kids in Honduras. This is a Christ-centered, bilingual and high-quality school meeting children’s needs for education. Daniel has also served as Field Director for SCORE International. After seven years in Honduras, God moved the Bardales family to Bible Church of Columbus, IN, where Daniel served as Family Ministries Pastor. Two years later, the Lord called them to move once more – this time to Dallas, TX where Daniel serves as Associate Pastor at Iglesia Biblica Cristo Viene (Bible Church Christ is Coming). Daniel is currently working on his Master’s degree in divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Daniel and Evi have been married for sixteen years and they have four kids: Gerson, Sarah, one that is with the Lord, and Isaac.

I love reading and learning and have been using words and language as an interpreter and translator since I was about 15 yrs old. My education consists of degrees in Bible, Theology, and Communications. I’ve been married to my wife, Ashley, since 2010 and together we started a GAP Program in the Dominican Republic with SCORE International. We still serve with SCORE and yearly return to the DR to help the GAP Program or to reconnect with the Lily House (an anti-trafficking safehouse where Ashley served). In 2016, we returned to Scranton and helped launch Steamtown Church Español before joining Steamtown staff as Ministry Liaison (serving between services and between languages). Now, I serve as Communications Director at Steamtown.
