We believe in one God (1 Timothy 2:5), who created and sustains all things in the universe (Colossians 1:16-17), being present everywhere (Psalm 139:7-10) and who exists from eternity past to eternity future (Psalm 90:2) as the persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19), each person having all the attributes of deity and characteristics of a living person (John 4:24).
About the Bible:
We believe that all the words of the Bible, even though written by men, were given (inspired) by God as He intended (2 Timothy 3:16), and that they are totally trustworthy and without error in the original writings (Proverbs 30:5), as preserved forever (Psalm 12:6-7), to completely reveal His will for our salvation and life (2 Peter 3:9).
About Mankind:
We believe that all the men and women who ever lived on earth were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and that because of Adam’s sin, all people are under the wrath of God (Romans 1:18) and deserve spiritual death (Romans 5:18-19), having no other hope than the salvation given freely by Jesus the Christ (Romans 6:23) to make us a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), who will worship Him and reign with Him forever (Revelation 22:3-5).
About Jesus Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ was born as a human baby after the miracle of His virgin conception and birth (Matthew 1:18), and that He is also God (John 1:1) who lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15) and voluntarily paid the full and complete debt for the sins of all people by dying on the cross as their substitute (1 John 2:2) – something that only God could do (Ephesians 2:8-9) – and conquering the power of death by His resurrection from the dead (Mark 16:6), so that we might be taken up to be with Him in the last days (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
About the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of God (Acts 5:3-4) who serves to convict the world concerning sin, righteousness and judgment, thereby drawing sinners to Christ (John 16:8) who, after believing, are better able to understand the richness of God’s Word through the Spirit’s enlightenment (John 14:16-17), who are led to act by the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – Galatians 5:22-23), and who are enabled to live holy lives (Galatians 5:16) using special gifts to promote the unity of the church and serve one another (1 Peter 4:10), not to exalt the believer (1 Corinthians 12:7).
About the Future:
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return in a visible, personal, bodily form, recognizable to all (Acts 1:11) to resurrect and judge all those who are alive and those who have died – the saved to full awareness of blessings in the presence of the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17), and the unsaved to an eternal conscious punishment apart from the Lord (Revelation 20:12-15) – and to set up His kingdom in which He will reign (Luke 1:32-33) and we believers will reign with him (2 Timothy 2:12) until the world is burned with fire and changed, bringing a new Heaven and a new Earth (2 Peter 3:10, Revelation 21:1), where God will come to dwell with Man, and it will be a glorious place, with no more death, mourning, crying, nor pain (Revelation 21:3-4).
