In Their Hands, By Your Heart: A Ministry Update
Welcome to The Shepherd’s Shelf — your quarterly look at the stories, projects, and people behind Books for Pastors. Together, we’re placing ministry books and Bibles into the hands of pastors around the world.
Thank you for supporting us in so many ways! This quarter, we’re launching two exciting projects — one in Anguilla, the northernmost of the Caribbean’s Leeward Islands, this October and another in The Bahamas next February. Each represents a tangible opportunity for us to strengthen pastors and the churches they serve.
In addition to sharing these new projects, we wanted to take a moment to encourage you with a short devotional on an important calling we all share: supporting our local church pastors. May it remind us of the joy and responsibility we have in caring for those who shepherd us.

Pastors carry a heavy responsibility as they lead, teach, and shepherd God’s people. The Apostle Paul urges us in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 to “respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work.” One of the greatest gifts we can give our pastors is encouragement — through prayer, kind words, and practical help. Hebrews 13:17 reminds us to “obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account.” Pastoral ministry often involves unseen burdens, long hours, and emotional strain. As members of the body of Christ, we’re called to lift them up, providing encouragement in both spiritual and tangible ways. Whether you send a note of thanks, give a word of affirmation, or simply commit to pray faithfully for them, supporting your pastor strengthens the whole church. And as we extend that same heart to pastors around the world through ministries like Books for Pastors, we join in advancing God’s kingdom together.

Project Launch: Anguilla |

We’re excited to announce a brand new project through Books for Pastors! This October, we’ll be providing Bibles, theology books, and ministry resources to 75 pastors attending a special conference on the northern Caribbean island of Anguilla.
For many of these faithful leaders, solid biblical resources are hard to come by. The books we provide will strengthen their preaching, deepen their understanding of God’s Word, and encourage them in their ministry to their churches and communities. Project Launch: Bahamas |
Looking ahead to February 2026, we’re thrilled to share about another upcoming opportunity. Books for Pastors will be heading to Nassau, The Bahamas to equip 90 pastors with outreach tools, theology books, and ministry resources during a conference designed to strengthen church leaders. Many pastors in the region minister with limited access to biblical study tools. This project will place high-quality, trustworthy resources directly into their hands, helping them disciple their churches and reach their communities for Christ. Our Goal: $2,200That’s just $25 per pastor to equip these leaders for their gospel work. Would you join us in launching this project?
