The weekend of October 12th, 2019 was a time to forge new friendships, renew some old one, and enjoy fellowship over a study of the Word of God at Faith Baptist Church in Prosperity, West Virginia.
During a Saturday afternoon men’s study, we were able to look into Getz’s best-selling book, “The Measure of a Man.” Taking the opening chapter, “Becoming a faithful man,” we looked at different Scripture passages and had some discussion about faithfulness.
Sunday provided an opportunity to experience the writing of New Testament books as we walked alongside the apostles in our imaginations as Pastor Getz brought the Scriptures to life. As his message concluded with a challenge to get into God’s Word more, we learned more about the work of Getz’s ministry during an interview with Pastor Chris Chesley of Faith Baptist Church.
